E23 info A hard to catch numbers station for me anyway! I tuned in at 09:55 Wednesday 2nd March 2005 on 6507, E23 came up but was very faint. I decided to try for the 11:55 broadcast on 8188 USB and this is where I have taken the recording from. There was a lot of QRM and my DSP unit proved its worth by cleaning up the audio to some degree. At 11:55 you hear E23 with its procedural into, this is 00000, 11111, 22222, 33333, 44444, 55555, 66666, 77777, 88888, 99999 repeated twice then the actual message starts. At the end of the recording 12:38 you hear E23 say "end" in case you missed it its repetend (by me not E23) at the end of the mp3 file. E23 is possibly the KGB????? who knows :-) E23 is working on the same freqs as the former G2 "Swedish Rhapsody" Spieluhr (the German word for "music box", which is the description of the music intro). Also the location is the same (arround Poland or Hungary - but I think, it's Poland). The secret service, who's producing E23 is the British, and they use the voice of Cynthia, which many of us know from the former CIA stations (such as E5 and E14). We don't know, who was behind the G2 station. (This from Jochen Kopf)
